Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Solutions Architect with 8 years of experience to join our team at Onyx Point, Inc. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in IT solutioning and engineering, with expertise in system administration, system development, and testing.

Responsibilities include:

  • Providing technical direction for the development, engineering, interfacing, integration, and testing of specific hardware and software components and systems.
  • Conducting systems requirements reviews, developing concepts of operation and interface standards, and developing system architectures.
  • Performing engineering Analysis of Alternatives activities to select optimal vendor solutions and capabilities.
  • Supporting short technical proposal activities and conducting briefings of new technologies.
  • Developing Bill of Materials (BOM) and Basis of Estimate (BOE) documentation.
  • Establishing and following formal Systems Engineering processes for coordinating system requirements tracking, system development, testing, and integration activities among multiple teams.
  • Assisting in the evaluation of potential products, new technologies, and technical solutions.

Requirements include:

  • Technical Bachelor's Degree and 10 years of hands-on experience in IT solutioning/engineering.
  • Possessing an IAT level I baseline certification, such as Security +, Network +, CCNA, CCNP, or equivalent certification.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to convey technical concepts to various audiences.
  • Experience in a technical management role with an understanding of IT equipment, network, and end-user devices.
  • Ability to handle complex customer situations and interact with all levels of personnel to provide quick and effective resolutions.
  • Familiarity with network monitoring tools and some experience with network switches.

Preferred qualifications include:

  • Eight years of hands-on systems engineering, and/or network, end-user, and security experience supporting the design, deployment, and operation of Enterprise IT capabilities.
  • Strong understanding of ITSM fundamentals and related infrastructure, including some level of experience with ServiceNow, Splunk, VMware, Windows, UNIX, and related operating systems.
  • Experience with Thin & Thick client end points, Cloud Computing, Splunk, Hyperconverged Infrastructure (HCI), VTC systems, and VoIP.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to interface with the customer daily and explain complex technical topics to both internal and external customers.
