POSITION SUMMARY:
The Patient Care Support Specialist serves as the initial point of contact for all patient-related programs. This role is dedicated to delivering an outstanding patient experience through effective telephonic communication, appropriately directing documentation to relevant parties, and facilitating patient onboarding. The Specialist also provides essential support to the care teams.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Our team members are committed to achieving exceptional business outcomes through collaborative efforts.

Responsibilities include:
1. Manage incoming faxes, ensuring proper uploading to the patient database and assignment to the correct Care Team member.
2. Handle both outgoing and incoming calls, directing them as necessary; resolve patient inquiries without escalation when possible.
3. Uphold the confidentiality and integrity of protected health information, adhering to HIPAA security policies and procedures.
4. Perform additional duties as assigned.

JOB EXPECTATIONS:
1. Serve as the first point of contact for triaging incoming calls.
2. Execute data entry tasks, including entering and setting up new patients in the database.
3. Prepare and dispatch new patient packets promptly.
4. Conduct clerical tasks such as photocopying, faxing, mailing, and filing.
5. Provide support for special projects as needed.
6. Assign follow-ups to the appropriate team members.
7. Act as a backup for the receptionist.
