Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a Surgical Technologist, you will play a critical role in ensuring the smooth operation of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment during procedures.
  • Prepare and maintain surgical instruments and equipment.
  • Pass sterile instruments to the surgical team during procedures.
  • Assist with patient positioning and transportation.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies.
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse or completion of a Surgical Technology program.
  • Obtain certification in Basic Life Support within 30 days of hire date.
  • Ability to lift up to 40-pounds and push/pull heavy loaded carts up to 200 lbs.
Working Environment

The Surgical Technologist will work in a fast-paced operating room environment, requiring strong communication and teamwork skills. The ideal candidate will be able to work effectively in a team environment and maintain a high level of professionalism at all times.
