About the Role:

Sovah Health - Martinsville is seeking a skilled Surgical Tech II to join our team. As a Surgical Tech II, you will play a vital role in ensuring the safe and efficient performance of surgical procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare the surgical operating suite with drapes, solutions, instruments, equipment, and supplies.
  • Assist with preparing, transporting, positioning, and draping patients.
  • Pass instruments to the physician during surgery and maintain accurate inventory.
  • Process and deliver specimens to the laboratory.

Requirements:

  • Graduate of a School of Surgical Technology.
  • Requires critical thinking skills, decisive judgment, and the ability to work with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and take appropriate action.
  • Requires full range of motion, including handling and lifting patients and/or equipment.
  • Requires standing and walking for extensive periods.
  • May require lifting and carrying items weighing up to 50 pounds.
  • Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range.
  • Requires ability to work under stressful conditions and/or irregular hours.
