About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Surgical Technologist to join our team at WVU Medicine. As a key member of our operating room team, you will play a vital role in ensuring the highest level of patient care and safety.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist the surgical team in maintaining a sterile environment during procedures
  • Prepare and maintain surgical equipment and supplies
  • Monitor and maintain inventory of surgical supplies and equipment
  • Collaborate with the surgical team to ensure efficient and safe patient care
  • Participate in the cleaning and maintenance of the operating room and surrounding areas
Requirements
  • Current licensure as a Licensed Practical Nurse, completion of a Surgical Technology program, or completion of a summer surgical tech extern program
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent and two (2) years of previous scrub experience
  • Ability to lift up to 40-pounds and push/pull heavy loaded carts up to 200 lbs
  • Ability to wear lead for extended periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
  • Surgical Technology experience preferred
