Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze Department of Defense (DoD) documentation and artifacts to break down high-level requirements into actionable items for Agile development cycles.
  • Implement systems engineering methodologies throughout the entire lifecycle phases: conception, development, production, operational use, support, and decommissioning.
  • Collaborate with project teams to address technical systems engineering challenges and related issues.
  • Engage with other Technical Direction Plan (TDL) personnel, government representatives, and senior management.
  • Ensure the technical integrity, quality, and thoroughness of work outputs and deliverables across various process areas defined by ISO/IEC15288, including Technical, Enterprise, and Agreement Process Areas.
  • Contribute to the creation of essential systems engineering documentation, such as Systems Engineering Plans, capability documents, requirements specifications, and interface control documents.

Essential Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Business, Engineering, Mathematics, Science, or a related discipline.
  • A minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience.
  • For candidates without a degree, an additional four (4) years of experience is required.
  • For those holding an Associate's degree, two (2) additional years of experience are necessary.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's degree in a STEM field or a related area.
  • Industry-recognized certifications such as INCOSE Certified Systems Engineering Professional (CSEP), Expert Systems Engineering Professional (ESEP), or OMG Certified Systems Modeling Professional–Advanced (OCSMP-A).
  • Experience with Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools and methodologies.

Clearance Requirements:

  • This position necessitates an active TS/SCI clearance.

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to remain stationary for over 50% of the time.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with colleagues and senior personnel.
  • Frequent operation of a computer and other office equipment.
  • Regular communication with team members, management, and clients, which may include delivering presentations.
  • Occasional movement within the office to access files and equipment.
