Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Process Architect to lead our Life Science projects teams in creating world-class designs for our clients. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the project team throughout the design and construction process, integrating process systems into architectural concepts and plans, and ensuring compliance with budget constraints, environmental factors, and client needs.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead design of projects from conceptual phase to completion, ensuring project needs and requirements are met.
  • Develop, modify, and review production drawings for Life Science facilities.
  • Participate in project schedule, scope, budget, staffing planning, and construction planning, with a focus on effective management of change orders.
  • Apply knowledge and understanding of FDA, cGMP, and other industry concepts, practices, codes, and procedures.
  • Develop designs for new or renovated facilities that integrate equipment, processes, and people.
  • Experience in developing Process Architect deliverables across the Life Sciences industry, including Animal Health, Biotechnology, and Pharmaceutical facilities.
  • Identify operational efficiency and optimization opportunities to reduce facility footprint.
  • Apply expert knowledge of architectural concepts, practices, codes, and procedures, and compile studies and reports.
  • Lead complex projects, finding non-standard design solutions, and resolving issues in a team environment.
  • Quality review production drawings and project-related data to ensure design compliance with project, client, and industry standards.
  • Lead field inspections, installation, measurements, or calculations for public and private clients.
  • Prepare and present technical reports for clients and industry publications.
  • Build effective relationships with clients, customers, and contractors, and develop new business opportunities.
  • Participate in sales and marketing efforts, identifying, leading, and managing key pursuits.
  • Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve financial performance targets.
  • Prepare, present, and manage project budgets and cost estimates, reporting project performance.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to the architectural practice, mentoring and guiding less experienced engineers.
  • Ensure QA/QC process adherence and effective communication with other architectural teams.
  • Comply with company and site safety policies.
Requirements
  • Bachelor of Architecture degree from an accredited program.
  • 8 years of architectural experience, consulting preferred.
  • Registered Architect preferred.
  • Expert knowledge in standard architectural techniques and procedures.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Expert computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, BIM (Revit), Adobe Suites, and 3D rendering programs.
  • Ability to work methodically and analytically in a quantitative problem-solving environment, with demonstrated critical thinking skills.
  • Expert attention to detail, facilitation, team building, collaboration, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience leading the design for large projects and delegating work tasks to team members.
