Job Title: Salesforce Billing Solution Architect

About the Role

This is a unique opportunity to join our team of experts in revenue recognition and billing solutions. As a Solution Architect, you'll work closely with our clients to understand their requirements and design solutions that meet their needs. You'll be responsible for translating business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Zuora Revenue or other Revenue platforms.

Responsibilities
  • Lead technical discussions with clients to understand their requirements and design solutions that meet their needs.
  • Translate business requirements into well-architected solutions that best leverage the Zuora Revenue or other Revenue platforms.
  • Provide detailed level of effort estimates for proposed solutions and articulate the benefits and risks to a solution's feasibility and functionality.
  • Provide hands-on, expert-level technical assistance to consultants, business analysts, and developers.
  • Stay up-to-date with new Revenue Recognition products and technical capabilities resulting from product releases and acquisitions.
  • Participate in sales efforts to estimate the technical level of effort and present to potential clients during sales efforts.
  • Demonstrate thought leadership through publishing, public speaking, and client presentations.
  • Coach and mentor junior technical and functional team members.
  • Lead or participate in technical integration discussions and design workshops.
  • Perform customer demos throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Conduct requirements gathering and analysis sessions with clients.
  • Configure and test Revenue Recognition application and work with any upstream quote-to-cash applications to meet the approved designs.
  • Create high-level architecture diagrams that can be understood by both technical and business-minded individuals.
  • Support the customer with regular calls to answer functional and technical questions.
  • Provide guidance and best-in-class billing strategies to the client.
  • Act as the solution owner during the project, ensuring the project's scope and outcomes are on track.
  • Interview candidates.
Qualifications
  • 5-7 years of experience in Quote to Cash, preferably in a professional services organization, with at least 3 years delivering revenue solutions.
  • Experience in at least one of the revenue recognition products: Zuora Revenue, Oracle Revenue Management, SAP RAR, NetSuite ARM, Workday Revenue Recognition.
  • 5-7 years of customer-facing solution delivery and/or business consulting experience.
  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business is preferred.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead business discussions with customers and architect the value of a solution and the best practices to implement it.
  • Experience in requirements gathering, use cases documentation, business analysis, systems design and integration, user interface design and implementation is an advantage.
  • Experience implementing revenue recognition solutions and applications is required.
  • Experience in data analysis, conversion, and migration, interfaces, and reports.
  • Strong team player with excellent communication skills at the business and technical level, able to collaborate as part of a team to deliver exceptional customer results in a rapid-paced implementation environment.
  • Experience managing tasks on multiple projects simultaneously.

Compensation and Benefits

Slalom offers a competitive compensation package, including a base salary pay range of $122,000-$225,000 for the Principal Architect role and $140,000-$258,000 for the Senior Delivery Principal Architect role. In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. We also offer a range of benefits, including meaningful time off and paid holidays, parental leave, 401(k) with a match, and highly subsidized health, dental, and vision coverage.
