Pulmonary Technologist Job Description

Johns Hopkins Health System is seeking a skilled Pulmonary Technologist to join our team.

Job Summary

Under the direction of a physician and the laboratory coordinator/manager, the Pulmonary Technologist will measure, analyze, and record pulmonary function procedures, and perform non-invasive Cardiac diagnostic procedures on the patient care units, in the department, or in the outpatient clinic.

Key Responsibilities
  • Perform routine pulmonary function testing and cardiac monitoring
  • Implement quality assurance and quality control programs
  • Train new employees and troubleshoot equipment problems
  • Ensure adherence to Joint Commission, institutional, and governmental policies and regulations
  • Participate in educational and clinical programs and quality improvement
Requirements
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalent
  • Maryland License
  • NBRC Certification
  • Current CPR BLS certification
  • Minimum of 1 year of experience
