Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide special instruction to students with disabilities, ensuring they receive the support they need to thrive.
  • Coordinate IEP implementation, ensuring that each service provider is aware of their responsibilities and that IEP recommendations are met.
  • Develop and implement Behavior Intervention Plans (BIPs), working closely with staff to provide training and support.
  • Collaborate with parents and staff to provide individualized education and support, promoting a positive and inclusive learning environment.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in Special Education, Psychology, or a related field.
  • NYS certification in Special Education or a related area.
  • Expertise in instruction, curriculum, and positive behavior supports for individuals with autism and/or developmental disabilities.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
