Job Summary

Catalyst Family Inc is seeking a dedicated and passionate Early Childhood Educator to join our team. As a key member of our preschool program, you will play a vital role in creating a nurturing and engaging environment for children to learn and grow.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement developmentally appropriate curriculum that aligns with the interests and needs of children and youth.
  • Ensure the health and safety of children by maintaining proper supervision, positive interactions, and healthy habits.
  • Collaborate with colleagues to create intentional, enriched, and supportive learning environments that promote positive child/youth development.
  • Provide excellent customer service by establishing and maintaining authentic connections with children, families, schools, and communities.
  • Work collaboratively with the team to provide high-quality programs and creative workplaces.

  • Maintain positive interactions with children and youth.
  • Ensure a kind, respectful, and safe emotional and physical environment for children.

  • Be physically and mentally capable of interacting with children up to 13 years of age.
Qualifications & Experience

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A minimum of 24 units in child development, early childhood development, or a related field, plus 16 general education units.
  • An AA degree in ECE, CD, or a related field from a national accredited college.
  • A BA degree in ECE, CD, or a related field from a national accredited college/university.
  • A Teacher or above Child Development Permit issued by the California Commission on Teacher Credentialing.
Experience & Skills

We are looking for candidates with:

  • 2 years of experience in a group care environment where care/teaching was provided for a consistent age group.
  • 1 year of experience supervising adults or equivalent Adult Supervision units.
  • Effective problem-solving, conflict resolution, classroom management, and communication with children and families.
  • Effective organization, time management, curriculum, and assessment documentation.
  • Ability to work alongside colleagues and maintain a professional team environment.
