Heavy Equipment Technician

At Riverway Business Services, we are seeking a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team.
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be responsible for performing repairs and precision maintenance on conveyors, belting, compressors, pumps, motors, gearboxes, and related equipment.
Your primary duties will include:
- Diagnosing and troubleshooting issues, making recommendations for repairs, and adjusting critical machine systems.
- Assembling and disassembling components, performing welding, cutting, grinding, and bolting for machine system modifications.
- Testing and verifying the correct operation of repairs and adjustments.
You will also document repair and wrench time information in our company's CMMS program, complete work safely and in compliance with company and regulatory requirements, and conduct routine equipment inspections and report findings.
We require a High school diploma or equivalent, advanced knowledge of millwright duties, and proficiency in welding and fabrication techniques (ARC, MIG), hydraulic and pneumatic principles and application, knowledge of lubricants and maintenance best practices, and understanding of machinery alignments.
Additional requirements include effective communication skills, mechanical aptitude related to structures, metallurgy, fasteners, rotating assemblies, gears, and material strength, and familiarity with heavy equipment operation.
Preferred qualifications include certification as a Maintenance and Reliability Technician (CMRT) and transportation workers identification credential (TWIC) capability.
As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic, you will be required to meet 'fit for duty' requirements, perform physically demanding tasks, and work in various environments and weather conditions.
