Job Summary:

The Government Jobs organization is seeking a skilled Mobile Equipment Maintenance Specialist to join our team in the Southeast Louisiana Flood Protection Authority-East (SLFPA-E) region. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for performing advanced-level work in the maintenance, repair, and overhaul of mobile equipment, including automobiles, pick-up trucks, bulldozers, cranes, graders, front-end loaders, skid steers, diesel equipment, sweepers, and other rolling stock items.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance tasks, including oil changes, tire rotations, and brake pad replacements.
  • Conduct advanced repairs, such as engine overhauls, transmission replacements, and electrical system troubleshooting.
  • Operate and maintain a variety of heavy machinery, including bulldozers, cranes, and graders.
  • Collaborate with other maintenance team members to ensure efficient and effective equipment maintenance.
  • Provide excellent customer service to SLFPA-E staff and stakeholders.

Requirements:
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in mobile equipment maintenance and repair.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate heavy machinery.
  • Excellent problem-solving and communication skills.
