Position Overview - Brand Manager, Product Innovation & Marketing

Uqora is on the lookout for a Brand Manager passionate about innovation and product marketing, eager to shape the future of our brand. The Brand Manager, Product Innovation and Marketing will play a crucial role in developing the innovation pipeline and will be accountable for transforming concepts into tangible products, ready for handoff to the commercial team for market introduction. This position demands a blend of strategic insight, critical analysis, creative problem-solving, and a profound understanding of consumer behavior and market dynamics.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Evaluate category, retail, e-commerce, and healthcare data to extract insights and deliver data-driven recommendations for enhancing our product portfolio.
  • Gather and assess consumer and market insights alongside healthcare data to pinpoint essential trends that inform the innovation pipeline and brand strategy.
  • Conduct competitive analysis and utilize findings to support product innovation strategies, including pricing, sizing, messaging, and positioning.
  • Collaborate across departments to transition products from initial concept to full market readiness, identifying and addressing risks while effectively resolving issues with stakeholders and the core team to ensure timely launches.
  • Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to evaluate post-launch success and, in partnership with the analytics team, finance, and other stakeholders, develop scorecards to measure, assess, and identify opportunities for performance enhancement; conduct ongoing evaluations post-launch through consumer insights, data analysis, and channel insights to optimize outcomes.
  • Work with various channel marketing leaders to comprehend unique insights and specific requirements that can be integrated into the innovation strategy while ensuring current projects align with channel needs.
  • Create product positioning and marketing strategies based on consumer insights and data, including messaging, product naming, fact sheets, claims, packaging, and launch concepts.
  • In collaboration with finance, assist in sizing and scoping new product launches, including incrementality and cannibalization analysis, continuously refining launch projections and developing demand plans across channels.
  • For new product launches, work with cross-functional teams to develop unit economics and perform margin analysis across channels to ensure products meet financial targets.
  • Support the preparation of annual operating plans and marketing budgets.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree required; MBA preferred.
  • 3-4+ years of experience in Product Marketing/Product Innovation for consumer brands, with a track record of developing products from innovation discovery to market launch, including line extensions and breakthrough innovations.
  • Strong product management and marketing skills, with a comprehensive understanding of the new product development process from ideation to execution.
  • Robust analytical and quantitative skills, with in-depth knowledge of key syndicated and e-commerce data (experience with IRI is a plus) and a background in developing business cases.
  • Self-motivated individual with a proactive approach and experience in diagnosing and resolving complex challenges.
  • Proficient in distilling insights from various market sources and complex data sets.
  • Experience in e-commerce is essential.
  • Familiarity with agile design thinking methodologies is a plus.
  • Experience generating innovative marketing ideas and collaborating with internal and external creative partners.
