Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for providing accurate diagnostic and therapeutic test results to healthcare providers with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform laboratory tests and procedures to obtain accurate diagnostic results
  • Utilize quality control measures to ensure accurate results
  • Communicate critical values to healthcare providers in accordance with departmental policy
  • Recognize abnormal results and take appropriate action
  • Perform routine maintenance procedures and instrument functions
  • Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
  • Review specimen logs to confirm completion of work and resolve outstanding tests
  • Assist with receiving specimens, responding to pneumatic tubes, and answering telephones

Requirements:

  • AS (MLT) with ASCP eligibility or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills
