Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled Medical Laboratory Technician to join our team. As a Medical Laboratory Technician, you will be responsible for providing accurate diagnostic and therapeutic test results to healthcare providers with minimal supervision.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform laboratory tests and procedures to obtain accurate diagnostic results
- Utilize quality control measures to ensure accurate results
- Communicate critical values to healthcare providers in accordance with departmental policy
- Recognize abnormal results and take appropriate action
- Perform routine maintenance procedures and instrument functions
- Monitor inventory levels and reorder supplies as needed
- Review specimen logs to confirm completion of work and resolve outstanding tests
- Assist with receiving specimens, responding to pneumatic tubes, and answering telephones
Requirements:
- AS (MLT) with ASCP eligibility or equivalent
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
