Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Medical Assistant to join our team at UnitedHealth Group. As a Medical Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing patient care and support to our clinicians and patients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assist clinicians with minor medical and surgical procedures
  • Perform a broad spectrum of clerical and administrative duties related to patient care assistance
  • Anticipate clinicians' needs and carry out orders
  • Check for patients' arrival status and escort patients to exam rooms
  • Obtain, record, and report vital signs and other pertinent patient information
  • Perform various medical procedures and medication administration as appropriate for certification
  • Maintain and clean exam and treatment areas, specimen processing areas, and medical equipment

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or GED
  • Completion of a Medical Assistant program or relevant experience
  • BLS certification or willingness to obtain within 30 days of hire
  • Access to reliable transportation for travel to client or patient sites

Preferred Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience in an ambulatory care setting or experience in the military as a Medical Assistant/EMT
  • Electronic Medical Records (EMR) experience
  • Experience in primary care or specialty care
