About the Role

MedStar Health is seeking a skilled Nuclear Medicine Technologist to join our team of healthcare professionals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate and document all aspects of Nuclear Medicine procedures, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Verify patient consent and fully inform them of the procedure's risks, benefits, and alternatives.
  • Position patients, select and operate imaging equipment, and monitor patients during procedures.
  • Provide patient information relevant to the exam, prepare patients for procedures, and evaluate images for technical quality.
  • Initiate basic life support actions when necessary, check and order supplies, and participate in data collection.
Requirements
  • Graduate of an Allied Health Education Nuclear Medicine program or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years' experience in a hospital setting.
  • ARRT (American Registry of Radiologic Technology) and/or CNMT Certification.
  • Maryland Nuclear Medicine Technologist license.
  • CPR (Cardiac Pulmonary Resuscitation) certification.
  • Experience with RIS/PACS is preferred.
