Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver outstanding patient experiences and assist patients in preparing for their healthcare visits.
  • Collect vital signs, document chief complaints, and review patient medications.
  • Manage inventory by ordering supplies and ensuring exam rooms are well-stocked.
  • Conduct routine quality control checks, including infection control protocols and equipment assessments.
  • Under the supervision of a Registered Nurse or Provider, perform Medical Assistant appropriate tasks, such as administering vaccinations and conducting procedures like ABI, spirometry, and EKGs.
  • Execute waived laboratory testing and schedule necessary diagnostic procedures.
  • Assist with the application of durable medical equipment as needed.
  • Engage in care team meetings to discuss patient care strategies and clinic operations.
Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 3 years of experience in a Medical Assistant capacity.
  • Medical Assistant certification or registration is required; over 5 years of relevant experience may be considered as a substitute.
  • Phlebotomy Technician Certification is preferred.
  • Demonstrated problem-solving abilities, accountability, and a positive, adaptable attitude.
  • Fluency in Spanish, Polish, Russian, or other languages relevant to the communities we serve is advantageous.
