Business Development Representative for MSI's Hardscape Products

MSI is seeking a highly motivated Business Development Representative to join our team in growing and developing sales and margins of our hardscape product lines with the retailer/dealer network within an assigned geographic territory.
Salary InformationThe estimated annual pay for this position ranges from $70,000 to $150,000 or more, depending on experience, education level, and commission structure. Additionally, employees can expect annual pay increases, referral bonuses, and holiday bonuses.
Job DescriptionThis salaried, exempt position requires the individual to develop relationships with current customers and potential customers within their specific territory, assist customers by providing knowledge and training company products, understand market competition and position products effectively, manage displays and samples for customer availability, and analyze sales reports to identify sales potential.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers and partners to drive business growth and revenue.
- Providing exceptional customer service by addressing customer inquiries, concerns, and feedback in a timely and professional manner.
- Collaborating with internal teams, including sales, marketing, and product development, to align business objectives and goals.
- Analyzing market trends, customer needs, and competitor activity to inform strategic decisions and drive business results.
To succeed in this role, candidates should possess:
- A Bachelor's Degree in a relevant field, such as business, marketing, or communications.
- A minimum of two (2) plus years' experience in channel distribution sales, preferably in the natural stone, hardscaping, landscaping, or hard flooring industries.
- Strong math skills to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, percentages, area, and volume.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to build strong relationships with customers and stakeholders.
- Intermediate computer proficiency, with experience using CRM software and other business applications.
