Job Description

Overview: Flexicrew Technical Services (FTS) is on the lookout for a Supply Chain Coordinator to enhance our procurement operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and monitor all purchase orders to guarantee the prompt arrival of goods and materials.
  • Engage with suppliers to secure precise and current information regarding order status, delivery timelines, and any possible setbacks.
  • Work closely with internal departments, including operations, production, and logistics, to collect data on material needs and expedite urgent requests.
  • Effectively communicate with suppliers to address any issues or discrepancies in order fulfillment.
  • Regularly inform the purchasing team and other stakeholders about the status of orders and any potential challenges that may emerge.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all procurement activities, including order confirmations, delivery receipts, and invoices.
  • Assess supplier performance and provide constructive feedback to the purchasing team to enhance future procurement decisions.
  • Assist in negotiating pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to ensure optimal value for the organization.
  • Continuously seek to improve procurement processes and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency enhancements.
  • Stay informed about industry trends, market conditions, and new suppliers to maintain a competitive edge in the procurement process.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as supply chain management, business administration, or a related discipline.
  • Demonstrated experience in a procurement role, particularly as an Expeditor or in a similar capacity.
  • Familiarity with purchasing processes, including order placement, tracking, and delivery coordination.
  • Proficient in procurement software and systems.
  • Strong grasp of supply chain management principles and practices.
  • Exceptional negotiation and communication skills.
  • Able to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and manage multiple orders with attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills to tackle delays and disruptions.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Proficient in ERP systems and Microsoft Office Suite.

Physical Requirements:

  • Capability to work in an office setting with extended periods of sitting and computer use.
  • Ability to occasionally lift and transport materials weighing up to 25 pounds.
