Job Summary

As a Remote Commissioned Insurance Agent, you will sell insurance policies and other financial services to meet client needs, working with individuals, families, and businesses to understand their specific insurance requirements and recommend suitable coverage levels and types of policies. Your goal is to build long-term relationships with clients and help them navigate the complexities of insurance products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Client Consultation: Meet with potential clients to assess their current insurance policies and recommend suitable products and coverage levels.
  • Sales and Acquisition: Present and explain insurance policy options based on client needs, closing sales and achieving sales quotas.
  • Policy Management: Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, and claims processing, providing ongoing support and service to ensure client satisfaction and retention.
  • Market Research: Stay updated on industry trends, insurance products, and legislation affecting clients, researching insurance companies' policies and negotiating with underwriters to find suitable insurance coverage.
  • Relationship Building: Build and maintain relationships with clients, prospects, and insurance company representatives, networking and attending community events to generate leads and referrals.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Insurance Knowledge: Strong understanding of various types of insurance policies, coverage options, and underwriting processes.
  • Sales Skills: Proven track record in sales, with ability to close deals and meet sales quotas.
  • Communication: Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, explaining complex information clearly and understandably.
  • Customer Service: Dedication to providing exceptional customer service and resolving client issues promptly and professionally.
  • Negotiation: Strong negotiation skills to secure competitive insurance premiums and terms for clients.

Compensation
This is a commission-based position, with typical agents making between $50-75,000 in the first year.
