Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist and Social Worker

Cleveland Clinic is seeking a highly skilled Behavioral Health Outpatient Therapist and Social Worker to join our team. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will work closely with patients, families, and healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care and support.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Utilize specialized clinical knowledge and advanced clinical skills to provide psychotherapy, clinical counseling, and diagnostic interviews to patients.
  • Participate in the development and implementation of interdisciplinary treatment plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Consult with team managers, statutory and voluntary agencies, and patient relatives to ensure compliance with patient treatment plans.
  • Provide individual, group, family, and crisis counseling to patients and their families.
  • Act as a liaison with patients, families, community support workers, and facilities to facilitate discharge planning and provide education and resources.
  • Supervise and/or train lower-level social workers, students, or interns to ensure the highest level of care.
  • Process paperwork, telephone calls, and complete clinical documentation in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Participate in continuing professional education, departmental meetings, and teaching to stay up-to-date on best practices and share knowledge with colleagues.
Requirements:
  • Master's degree in social work, counseling, or a related field.
  • Licensed Independent Social Worker (LISW), or Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor (LPCC), or Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC), or Licensed Social Worker (LSW); no record of substantiated ethics or patient abuse reports.
  • Three years of experience in a behavioral health setting with comprehensive knowledge of current psychotherapeutic techniques, theories, and practices.
  • Ability to concisely document clinical findings and patient needs in an electronic medical record while navigating a multi-specialized behavioral health environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • LISW, LISW-S, LPCC, or LPCC-S.
