Job Title: Banquet Server

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Banquet Server to join our team at the Embassy Suites. As a Banquet Server, you will play a critical role in ensuring the success of our events and providing exceptional customer service to our guests.

Responsibilities:
  • Review and understand Banquet Event Orders to ensure banquet rooms are set according to customer requests.
  • Prepare tables, action stations, buffets, service carts, dessert tables/carts, and cordial carts.
  • Greet guests warmly and ensure guest satisfaction throughout meal service.
  • Deliver and serve welcome drinks, food, meals, condiments, and accompaniments.
  • Replenish buffet items to maintain consistency and freshness in presentation.
  • Remove china, glassware, silverware, etc. from tables at the conclusion of the meal period and deliver to the stewarding area.
  • Respond to guest requests in a friendly, timely, and efficient manner.
  • Monitor and maintain cleanliness, sanitation, and organization of assigned station and service areas.
  • Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness in all areas of the banquet/meeting rooms.
Requirements:
  • One to two years of experience in a similar role in an upscale hotel.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to speak, read, write, and understand English.
  • Use judgment and reasoning to cope with emergencies.
  • Knowledge and understanding of various banquet and food service techniques and standards.
  • Good personality and positive interpersonal skills.
  • Dependability and regular attendance.
  • Ability to work evenings and weekends.
