Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Banquet Server to join our team at Hilton Garden Inn Rockford. As a Banquet Server, you will be responsible for providing exceptional service to our guests at special events. Your primary focus will be on serving food and beverages, clearing plates and silverware, and ensuring that our guests' needs are met.

This is an on-call position, requiring flexibility and a team-first attitude. Our ideal candidate has experience in the food service or hospitality industry, preferably as a server. If you are a team player with excellent communication and interpersonal skills, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Follow all food and safety guidelines to ensure a safe and healthy environment for our guests
  • Offer an outstanding guest experience from the beginning to the end of each banquet event
  • Serve appetizers, main course meals, desserts, and other items, such as drinks, to banquet guests
  • Clear plates, replace silverware, and be mindful of guests' needs
  • Carry coffee pots, water pitchers, and other drinks around the room, refilling guests' cups and glasses as requested

Requirements:

  • Must have a team-first attitude and outstanding communication and interpersonal skills to interact with guests and coworkers
  • Possesses strong, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience working in food service is preferred
  • Proven customer service experience with a strong guest-focused mentality
  • Candidates must have completed high school or received similar certification (GED)
