Job Summary

Keck Medicine of USC is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Registered Nurse to join our team as a Clinical Nurse Specialist. Key Responsibilities
  • Provide expert clinical guidance and support to nursing staff to ensure high-quality patient care and outcomes.
  • Develop and implement evidence-based clinical practices and protocols to improve patient care and safety.
  • Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement patient care plans that meet the unique needs of each patient.
  • Conduct thorough assessments of patients to identify potential health risks and develop strategies to mitigate them.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with patients, families, and healthcare providers to ensure seamless care transitions and optimal patient outcomes.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest clinical research and evidence-based practices to ensure that patient care is always aligned with best practices.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to address them.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of educational programs for nursing staff to enhance their clinical skills and knowledge.
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement policies and procedures that promote safe and effective patient care.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing (BSN) or higher.
  • Minimum of 1 year of acute inpatient hospital experience as a licensed RN in the United States.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, families, and healthcare providers.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge, with the ability to assess patients and develop effective care plans.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team to achieve patient care goals.
  • Commitment to delivering exceptional patient care and contributing to the advancement of nursing practice.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Specialty certification in a relevant area of nursing practice.
Required Licenses/Certifications
  • Registered Nurse - RN (CA Board of Registered Nursing)
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
  • Fire Life Safety Training (LA City)
  • Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) Healthcare Provider from American Heart Association
