Neuroscience Compliance Coordinator RN

We are seeking a highly skilled Neuroscience Compliance Coordinator RN to join our team at Johnston-Willis Hospital. As a key member of our healthcare team, you will play a vital role in promoting quality patient care and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities- Facilitate and promote teamwork to deliver high-quality patient care.
- Develop and lead educational activities for comprehensive stroke requirements at other HCA campuses.
- Conduct mock Code Neuros during normal and off-shift hours at different HCA campuses to ensure staff preparedness.
- Assure successful survey process outcomes for disease-specific certification.
- Coordinate the key elements of the Stroke Center Certification process, including protocol development and review.
- Educate staff and physicians on standards compliance and assessment/treatment per evidence-based practice for acute stroke patients.
- Collaborate with physicians and organize meetings as needed to build relationships and rapport for continued volume enhancements.
- Provide education to staff and physicians to meet comprehensive stroke requirements.
- Lead or participate in patient-centered research related to stroke per requirements of Comprehensive Stroke certification.
- Interact with patients and families of acute stroke patients to determine care protocol compliance and patient satisfaction.
- Initiate and manage databases for recording and reporting of data related to disease-specific certification/accreditation.
- Aggregate and report on data relevant to certification programs in relevant committees.
- Develop written reports related to assessments and recommend changes in the clinical practice environment.
- Graduate of an accredited school of nursing.
- Bachelor's degree in Nursing.
- Current Virginia State licensure by the State Board of Nursing as a Registered Professional Nurse or compact license.
- Preferred Specialty Certification.
- Basic Cardiac Life Support must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
