Your Role:

The Healthcare Operations Coordinator I is tasked with overseeing the daily functions of the Hospital Medicine (HM) or Critical Care (CC) practice at designated facilities.


Key Responsibilities:
  • Execute daily operations to ensure efficient provider performance in patient care delivery.
  • Facilitate collaboration with clients, clinicians, primary care providers, and field operations teams to meet or exceed service expectations.
  • Work in tandem with other staff to support billing, coding, compliance, and quality standards for both facility and corporate practices.
  • Assist colleagues with quality audits, coding, and billing, ensuring adherence to ICD10/CPT coding and timely documentation.
  • Be available for urgent communications regarding scheduling, patient concerns, or operational issues.
  • Enhance satisfaction for clients, patients, and providers while improving quality and facility relations.
  • Coordinate communication between the practice and community primary care providers and specialists as necessary.
  • Manage the daily transmission of health and discharge summaries to local primary care providers.
  • Complete weekly tracking forms for the HM/CC Program and collaborate with field operations for feedback to leadership.
  • Observe and assess productivity and performance, providing recommendations for optimization.
  • Collaborate with the Staffing Operations team and participate in relevant meetings.
  • Support the Medical Director and Field Operations team with meeting preparations, data collection, and departmental coordination.
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly reports for the Medical Director and facility administration.
  • Oversee daily operations, suggesting improvements based on key performance indicators and satisfaction metrics.
  • Ensure timely processing of clinical paperwork and documentation.
  • Collect and distribute daily mail from the facility mailroom to providers.
  • Facilitate regular meetings between hospital administration and SCP Health’s corporate teams.
  • Act as a liaison between SCP Health and hospital personnel involved in interdisciplinary processes.
  • Verify daily patient census to ensure all assigned patients are accounted for.
  • Assign daily provider tasks to the clinical team and interdisciplinary staff involved in patient care.
  • Monitor operations related to physician signatures, credentialing, and billing completion.
  • Serve as a liaison between the practice and community primary care physicians, supporting referral retention and growth.
  • Assist with post-discharge follow-up and patient engagement initiatives.
  • Support the implementation and ongoing training of telemedicine programs where applicable.
  • Coordinate new provider interviews, orientation, and training on relevant systems.

This role encompasses all responsibilities listed above, along with any additional duties deemed necessary for the success of the practice.


Qualifications:

A High School diploma is required; a Bachelor’s degree is preferred. Candidates should possess:

  • 2 years of experience in practice management or healthcare, or 2-3 years in office management.
  • Experience in project management or marketing, particularly in a hospital-based environment, is advantageous.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel, Word, and Outlook.
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional time management and prioritization abilities.
  • Effective communication skills to interact with all levels of management, staff, and healthcare professionals.
  • The ability to represent SCP Health and the client as a local point of contact for marketing and satisfaction initiatives.
