Assistant Professor: Health Psychologist

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor of Clinical Health Psychology to join our team at the University of Minnesota. This is a full-time, regular position with a 1.0 FTE clinical and 0.15 FTE academic/research appointment.
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical services, including psychotherapy, psychological assessment, and consultation to adult medical patients in outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Develop and implement treatment plans, manage clinical services, and maintain accurate records.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide comprehensive care and participate in quality improvement initiatives.
- Contribute to the academic mission by teaching, supervising, and mentoring students and trainees.
- Participate in research activities, including study design, implementation, analysis, and manuscript preparation.
- Ph.D. in Clinical or Counseling Psychology from an APA-accredited program.
- Completed psychology internship in an APA-accredited program in a healthcare setting.
- Previous clinical experience with medical, psychiatric, and neurological populations.
- License eligible, including passing the EPPP, and a license from the Minnesota Board of Psychology by start date.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and interprofessional skills.
- Previous provision of psychological services in an academic healthcare environment.
- Board certification in Clinical Health Psychology or Clinical Psychology.
- Strong statistical analysis and professional writing skills.
- Experience in providing clinical care as part of multidisciplinary teams.
