Assistant Professor in Biostatistics

We are seeking a highly qualified Assistant Professor in Biostatistics to join our team at the University of Minnesota. As a tenure-track faculty member, you will be responsible for developing your own independent statistical methods research program, engaging in collaborative research with researchers across Health Sciences and other areas of the University, seeking external funding, participating in the Division's teaching program, and serving on division and school level committees.
QualificationsApplicants must have a PhD in biostatistics, statistics, or a related discipline. Areas of particular interest include methods for personalized and precision medicine, causal inference, the design of pragmatic and adaptive clinical trials, the analysis of high dimensional and functional data, network and graphical models, data integration, meta-analysis, and biomedical imaging.
About the DepartmentThe Division of Biostatistics and Health Data Science is a vibrant and dynamic department with 36 faculty members and 61 staff. Our faculty regularly publish in top methodological journals and are active in collaborative research projects across a wide range of areas, including cancer, cardiovascular disease, infectious disease, dentistry and periodontology, psychiatry/psychology, transplantation, chronic and neurodegenerative diseases, and tobacco control.
