Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Clinical Administrative Assistant to join our team at Ohio ENT & Allergy Physicians. As a Clinical Administrative Assistant, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional patient care and administrative support to our physicians and staff.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure patient consents are signed electronically on the same day.
  • Schedule surgeries and post-operative appointments with patients.
  • Enter surgery information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR).
  • Complete the surgery Pre-Admission Testing (PAT) form and any additional information related to the surgery.
  • Schedule diagnostic tests.
  • Handle insurance pre-certifications and predeterminations as needed.
  • Schedule Peer to Peer review calls at the request of the Pre-Cert department.
  • Answer phone calls promptly and return calls in a timely manner.
  • Manage the EMR desktop hourly.
  • Check faxes hourly and complete letters daily.
  • Complete all chart reports.
Requirements
  • At least 1 year of experience in a medical office environment.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of AthenaHealth (formerly GE-Centricity) practice management software, timekeeping software, and EHR packages.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office software.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with physicians and all coworkers.
  • Adherence to all HIPAA privacy and security regulations and guidelines.
  • Awareness of and compliance with all OSHA standards and guidelines.
