About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Project Engineer to join our team at Balfour Beatty. As a Project Engineer, you will play a key role in the planning and execution of construction projects, working closely with the Project Manager and Sr. Project Engineer to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project Financial Management: Assist in managing project finances, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost control.
  • Preconstruction Services: Provide support in preconstruction activities, including estimating, bidding, and project planning.
  • Project Start-up and Scheduling: Assist in the development of project schedules, including creating and managing project timelines, milestones, and deadlines.
  • Project Administration, Coordination, and Close-out: Provide administrative support, including coordinating with stakeholders, managing project documentation, and ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Promote Customer Relations: Foster strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members to ensure excellent customer service and satisfaction.
  • Promote Culture, Leadership, and Employee Development: Contribute to a positive and inclusive work environment, promoting a culture of safety, innovation, and continuous learning.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree: A degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
  • Internship Experience: One six-month internship co-op with a construction company is required.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in using personal computers, company communication tools, and Microsoft products, including Word, Excel, Office, and Outlook.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Previous Work Experience: One to three years of previous working experience in a construction-related field is preferred.
  • RFI and Change Order Management: Experience with Request for Information (RFI) and change order management is preferred.
  • Submittals and Punch-list Management: Familiarity with submittals and punch-list management is preferred.
  • Sub-contractor Meeting Minutes: Experience with assisting in sub-contractor meeting minutes is preferred.
Compensation

The base compensation range for this role is $78,000 to $95,000 annually.
