Job Summary

The Patient Service Representative will provide exceptional patient care and support to our patients and families. This role will be responsible for greeting patients, answering phones, scheduling appointments, and performing various administrative tasks.

Key Responsibilities
  • Greet patients and families in a friendly and courteous manner
  • Answer phones and respond to patient inquiries
  • Schedule appointments and manage patient schedules
  • Collect, verify, and enter patient data
  • Monitor patient data and ensure compliance with federal, state, and MaineHealth confidentiality policies
Requirements
  • High school graduate or equivalent preferred
  • Previous office experience with medical office experience helpful
  • Knowledge and skills in using office equipment
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to accomplish multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate clearly in person and on the phone
  • Strong computer skills
  • Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality
  • Ability to work independently and as a team member with minimal direct supervision
  • Ability to maintain a professional manner even under stressful situations
