Job Summary

Providence Health & Services is seeking a highly skilled Patient Services Specialist to join our team at Providence Portland Medical Center. As a key member of our Revenue Cycle team, you will play a critical role in ensuring accurate and timely patient account reimbursement.

Key Responsibilities
  • Obtain and verify complex demographic, insurance, and medical information to ensure accurate patient account reimbursement.
  • Document patient information in a timely and accurate manner, adhering to regulatory requirements and Providence Health & Services policies.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to resolve patient account discrepancies and ensure seamless patient care.
  • Stay up-to-date with changing regulations and industry standards, applying knowledge to improve patient services and revenue cycle processes.
Requirements
  • Associate's degree in Healthcare or Business Administration.
  • National Certification of CHAA upon hire.
  • 3 years of experience in Patient Access or Business office setting.
  • Experience with insurance eligibility systems.
  • Knowledge of medical billing codes and Epic applications.
