We also ensure compliance through rigorous validation processes and enforcement actions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist individuals in accurately filing their tax returns and making timely payments.
  • Encourage self-compliance through educational initiatives and teamwork.
  • Engage with clients and their representatives via various communication channels, including phone and written correspondence.
  • Deliver high-quality services that are accessible to all.
  • Identify and address non-compliance among taxpayers.
  • Utilize advanced contact center technologies and best practices.
  • Prevent fraudulent activities and safeguard against identity theft.
  • Ensure compliance with California regulations before granting tax professionals access to client accounts.
  • Provide comprehensive training and resources to staff.

Work Environment
This role offers the flexibility of remote work within California, adhering to departmental guidelines. After initial training, there is a minimum in-office requirement.

Minimum Qualifications
Applicants must demonstrate fluency in Spanish and meet the minimum requirements outlined in the Class Specification for the Tax Technician role.
