  • Implement comprehensive Design for Manufacturing (DFM) practices to create streamlined designs, focusing on reducing component and process counts, error-proofing fabrication, and ensuring consistent performance metrics.
  • Develop an efficient product lifecycle from supply chain management to final integration, balancing cost, complexity, and quality; collaborate closely with partner teams to establish an effective in-house production process.
  • Conduct environmental and performance testing on hardware to validate analyses and ensure compliance with design specifications.
  • Manage product delivery timelines throughout conception, design, assembly, and launch phases.
  • Exhibit strong ownership of product outcomes at every stage of development and production.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Willingness to obtain a Top Secret clearance.
  • Master's degree in engineering or a relevant technical discipline.
  • Strong understanding and application of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T).
  • Proven ability to manage hardware or systems within an integrated engineering team outside of academic settings.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of structural analysis and failure modes in complex mechanical systems.
  • Self-driven with excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends as needed to meet critical deadlines.
  • Willingness to travel as necessary for collaboration with vendors, customers, and partners.
