Position Overview:
The Pediatric Endocrinology Division at Children's Hospital of Michigan is in search of an additional Pediatric Endocrinologist to enhance our capacity to meet the endocrine healthcare needs of children and adolescents in the Metro Detroit region.
About the Division:
Our team consists of 5 Pediatric Endocrinologists, 7 diabetes nurse educators, 6 endocrine nurses, 2 dietitians, and a social worker. We prioritize a collaborative approach to delivering exceptional care to our patients. Our division frequently collaborates with various specialties, including Neurosurgery, Cardiovascular, General Surgery, Nephrology, Pulmonology, Hematology/Oncology, Immunology, and Gastroenterology.
Key Features of the Role:
- Full-time, employed position encompassing both academic and clinical duties.
- Responsibilities include patient care in both inpatient and outpatient settings alongside other division members.
- A minimum of 6 half-day clinics per week is expected.
- The call schedule is shared among division members, with weekend and holiday duties also distributed.
- This position includes a faculty appointment, as our institution serves as a training site for one of the largest pediatric residency programs in the nation, along with various pediatric subspecialties and fellowship programs.
Candidate Qualifications:
- Board Eligible/Board Certified with fellowship training in Pediatric Endocrinology.
- Must be eligible for licensure in the state of Michigan.
- A strong interest in medical education and academic involvement is highly desirable.
