About the Role:

The Purchasing Manager will play a pivotal role in driving the procurement strategy for Baily Foods International, ensuring seamless supply chain operations and optimal cost management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and execute purchasing strategies aligned with company objectives, leveraging market research to identify and evaluate suppliers.
  • Establish and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, negotiating favorable terms and conditions, and monitoring performance to ensure quality standards and delivery schedules are met.
  • Analyze market trends to identify cost-saving opportunities and implement cost-reduction initiatives, managing the purchasing budget to ensure cost-effective procurement practices.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Assurance team to ensure purchased products meet company quality standards, addressing any issues related to product quality, delivery, or supplier performance promptly.
  • Work closely with the Inventory and Production teams to manage inventory levels, ensuring timely availability of materials, and implementing efficient inventory management practices to minimize waste and reduce costs.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
  • A minimum of 5 years of experience in purchasing or procurement, preferably in the food industry, with experience in purchasing meat preferred.
  • Strong negotiation and contract management skills, excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities, and proficiency in procurement software and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
