Job Overview

Position: Preschool Long-Term Substitute Educator

Reports To: Principal of Armleder Building

Status: Full-Time, Hourly

Schedule: Monday to Friday; 7:10 a.m. - 3:30 p.m.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee the preschool classroom, executing educational plans, assessments, and various administrative duties while managing the classroom environment and maintaining communication with parents and stakeholders.
  • Facilitate supervision of both large and small groups of children.
  • Deliver the Christian Studies curriculum, fostering spiritual growth in young learners.
  • Maintain a Reggio-Inspired classroom that is positive, Christ-centered, tidy, and organized.
  • Engage with small groups of children to enhance their learning experiences.

Qualifications:

  • Experience in Early Childhood Education or a teaching degree in Elementary Education with a valid State of Ohio certification.
  • Preferred prior teaching experience.
  • Familiarity with the Leader in Me - 7 Habits framework.
  • Experience with Responsive Classroom practices.
  • Must be a committed Christian comfortable within a diverse Christian community.
  • Must secure a State of Ohio Educational Substitute Teacher Permit if lacking ODE teaching certification.
