Job Summary

The Woodland Springs Nursing Center is seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team. As a Licensed Vocational Nurse, you will provide high-quality nursing care to our residents, working under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide Nursing Care: Prepare and review medical records and nurses' notes, assess residents' physical and emotional status, and provide nursing care according to physician's orders, care plans, and facility policies.
  • Medication Administration: Prepare and administer medications as ordered by the physician in accordance with nursing standards and facility policies.
  • Charting and Record Keeping: Sign, date, and perform all charting and record keeping in accordance with established policies and procedures.
  • Supervision and Training: Supervise Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) staff, provide feedback and counseling as needed, and participate in in-service training and orientation programs.
  • Quality Assurance: Monitor environment and care practices of nursing personnel to ensure compliance with established safety, fire, disaster, infection control, and other departmental policies and procedures.
Requirements
  • Licensure: Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • Communication Skills: Must be able to relate positively to residents and families and to work cooperatively with other employees.
  • Attendance and Supervision: Must be capable of maintaining regular attendance and supervising other employees to attain resident care objectives.
  • Physical and Sensory Requirements: Must be able to perform the essential functions of this job, with or without reasonable accommodation.
