Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Licensed Vocational Nurse to join our team at Baylor Scott & White Health. As a LVN Charge Nurse, you will be responsible for providing patient care within designated units, performing assessments, contributing to care plans, and documenting patient changes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Administer clinical assessments with reasoning, identify, prioritize patient needs, develop, implement, evaluate nursing plan, and modify plan for outcomes.
  • Participate in initiatives aimed at improving the quality and performance of our healthcare services.
  • Create a therapeutic and conducive environment for patients, their families, and our staff.
  • Tailor the care plan to accommodate the unique differences of each patient and their family.
  • Act on behalf of patients in addressing concerns of an ethical and clinical nature.
  • Facilitate learning opportunities for patients, their families, and our nursing staff.
  • Work in partnership with colleagues and the community to execute an integrated care plan.
  • Utilize resources wisely to resolve potential issues for patients, their families, and our staff.
  • Take part in staffing processes and contribute to the professional development of peers.
Requirements
  • Completion of a high school diploma or equivalent education level.
  • Pursued or obtained a major in Nursing.
  • A minimum of two years' prior experience required in a relevant field.
  • Must be a Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN).
  • Holds a Basic Life Support certificate, or can obtain one within the first 30 days upon starting the role.
