Position Summary
We are seeking an experienced leasing professional to assist in leasing activities for a portfolio of retail properties in Southern California. The ideal candidate will have direct experience working for a landlord, tenant, or developer in shopping center retail real estate leasing. This role involves identifying and securing leases with prospective tenants, overseeing tenant and lease-related issues, and developing positive relationships with national and regional tenants, brokers, vendors, and contractors.

Key Responsibilities
  • Participate in leasing activities for a portfolio of retail properties in Southern California.
  • Identify and secure leases with prospective tenants.
  • Oversee tenant and lease-related issues.
  • Develop and maintain positive relationships with national and regional tenants, brokers, vendors, and contractors.
  • Negotiate business terms and manage lease renewal terms and amendments.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of the physical condition of our property portfolio.
  • Coordinate tenant improvement projects with tenants and contractors.
  • Assist with move-in and move-out inspections.
  • Stay informed about existing business, market conditions, and competing shopping centers to assess their impact on deal negotiations.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's Degree and 0-4 years of experience in commercial shopping center retail real estate leasing in Southern California.
  • Professional with excellent communication and people skills.
  • Strong work ethic and high level of self-motivation.
  • Exceptionally organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to efficiently prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, independent judgment, and the ability to effectively interact with a diverse range of individuals.
  • Reliable transportation and the ability to travel regionally.
  • California Real Estate License.
  • Active ICSC membership and completion of ICSC-related courses.
