Job Opportunity

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Addiction Recovery Specialist - Family Preservation to join our team. As a key member of our Family Preservation Services team, you will play a vital role in helping families navigate the complexities of addiction and recovery.

Job Summary

The Addiction Recovery Specialist - Family Preservation will work closely with a small caseload of families, providing coaching, guidance, and support to help them access the resources they need for long-term treatment and recovery. This is a dynamic and autonomous role, offering a flexible work schedule that combines office work, home visits, and travel in Northeast Kansas.

Responsibilities
  • Coach families on addiction recovery strategies and provide guidance on accessing local resources.
  • Develop and implement personalized recovery plans tailored to each family's unique needs.
  • Conduct home visits and provide support to families in their natural environment.
  • Collaborate with other professionals to ensure a comprehensive approach to family support.
  • Participate in regular team meetings to share knowledge, best practices, and resources.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A bachelor's degree in Social Work or a related field, with experience in substance use disorder counseling.
  • Licensure by the Kansas Behavioral Sciences Regulatory Board to practice in Kansas.
  • At least 21 years of age and a valid driver's license with proof of current vehicle insurance.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse populations.
