Johnson County Government is seeking a qualified Behavioral Health Specialist to join our team. As an On-Call Specialist, you will provide crisis interventions, monitor medication administration, and support individuals in achieving their treatment and recovery goals.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provides crisis interventions and maintains the safety of individuals
  • Monitors medication administration and documents mental and physical condition
  • Teaches and coaches individuals on various skills to enable productive lives
  • Develops and maintains positive relationships with service recipients, families, and other service providers

Requirements:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and one year of experience in a human services field
  • Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record
  • Ability to work a minimum of 1 shift per month and a maximum of 999 hours per year

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience working in a behavioral health setting
