Key Responsibilities:

  • Design, install, configure, and maintain infrastructure systems, including IBM Power/PowerVM and related software.
  • Administer and support platform systems, focusing on AIX and Linux, while managing their performance, security, and reliability.
  • Implement and oversee backup systems, ensuring all server data is adequately protected and operational backups are effectively managed.
  • Develop and manage monitoring systems to proactively address any availability or capacity issues.
  • Research and evaluate new technologies to enhance enterprise computing capabilities.
  • Provide insights and assessments regarding new features and integrations to optimize system performance.
  • Document best practices and procedures to ensure compliance with operational standards.
  • Collaborate with team members to enhance system efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Participate in disaster recovery planning and execution to maintain business continuity.

Qualifications:

Applicants must meet the following minimum qualifications:

  • A degree from an accredited institution in a relevant field such as computer science or information systems.
  • A minimum of six years of experience in an enterprise technology environment, specifically with IBM Power and AIX systems.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Linux systems in an enterprise setting.
  • Proficiency in managing enterprise infrastructure, including server and storage technologies.
  • Familiarity with Oracle applications and database servers.
  • IBM AIX Administration certification or equivalent expertise.
