Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Messaging Administrator to join our team at the Texas Department of Aging & Disability Services. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, building, and delivering enterprise solutions that enable mobile access to serve our customers and citizens of the state of Texas.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Perform advanced day-to-day administration, maintenance, and analysis of existing system procedures to ensure effectiveness of standards/policies and operational features/functions of the HHS Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration systems.
  • Review system plans for completeness and accuracy, plan, and schedule system implementations through analyzing data to aid in key decisions on the architecture of Messaging & Collaboration systems.
  • Oversee and/or conduct major studies regarding system usage, make recommendations for improvements, and determine system requirements in the development and implementation of email security controls with HHS Information Security Office.
  • Serve as a point of escalation and support to the HHS agencies who participate and various help desks, providing 24/7 on-call support for the HHS Enterprise Messaging & Collaboration.
  • Oversee and manage applications hosted, via or reliant upon, the HHS Messaging & Collaboration technologies, including next-generation mobile device support (MDM) and SMTP services.
Requirements:
  • PowerShell scripting experience or equivalent.NET development.
  • Windows Server administration experience.
  • Active Directory administration experience.
  • Experience managing Microsoft Exchange/Office.
  • Experience managing ADFS.
  • Experience managing VMWare or HyperV.
  • Experience managing Email Security appliances/services.
  • Experience managing Office.
  • Experience managing Azure or Amazon Web Services.
  • Knowledge of SQL.
  • Knowledge of networking and DNS.
  • Knowledge of maintaining Microsoft Exchange/Office.
  • Knowledge of Data Storage and Clustering.
  • Knowledge of Load Balancing (Managing VIPs).
  • Knowledge of eDiscovery using tools.
  • Ability to analyze and revise standards and procedures.
  • Ability to understand and effectively manage break/fix support for the HHS Enterprise.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with all HHS agencies and different levels of personnel.
  • Skill in providing exceptional customer service.
