Our talented group of engineers, along with our integrated operations experts and SCADA team, will assist you in providing outstanding services to our clients. You will actively engage in our delivery system enhancement initiatives and help spearhead Practice programs.

Candidate Profile:

Your primary focus will be on providing engineering expertise for drinking water initiatives, although experience in wastewater and stormwater management is advantageous. This role allows you to lead and collaborate with a team of junior professionals while consistently interacting with mid and senior-level technical staff and leadership throughout the organization. The perfect candidate will possess a strong technical background with extensive experience in the assessment, planning, design, and construction of drinking water systems. Familiarity with a wide array of issues related to master planning, treatment, and distribution systems is preferred. You will oversee the technical execution of multiple projects, ensuring compliance with local and federal regulations, and will contribute to marketing and proposal development efforts.

Remote Work: Preferred candidate location is California.

Travel Requirements: 5% travel, primarily within California.

Key Responsibilities at Woodard & Curran:

  • Serve as the technical lead for projects of all sizes.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager(s) to guide the technical delivery of project tasks.
  • Establish the overall technical strategy for projects.
  • Prepare and present training sessions and presentations to both internal and external clients, as well as professional organizations.
  • Contribute to the development of Woodard & Curran's design guidelines and standards.

Qualifications for Success:

  • 10-15 years of engineering experience.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering; a Master's Degree is preferred.
  • Registered Professional Engineer. The successful candidate will possess technical and project delivery expertise in civil and/or environmental engineering, with a comprehensive understanding of engineering principles related to all types of municipal water systems, including water supply, treatment processes, and distribution system infrastructure.
  • In-depth knowledge of state and EPA regulations governing water treatment and distribution systems.
  • Familiarity with state bidding laws and funding programs.
  • Up-to-date on the latest technological advancements, regulatory trends, equipment, and processes.
  • Exceptional writing, communication, and presentation skills.

Compensation: $135,000 - $180,000 annually. This role offers the possibility of remote work, with a flexible pay range based on factors such as the employee's primary work location, skills, experience, and education. The pay range varies based on geographic location.
