Job Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Staff Engineer to join our team in Alpharetta, GA. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for applying professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists.

Key Responsibilities
  • Apply professional principles, complex numerical models, and innovative solutions to real-world problems as part of a team of engineers and scientists.
  • Assist in the preparation of CAD drawings for contract documents and reports with input and guidance from senior engineers.
  • Perform hydrologic and hydraulic analyses.
  • Collect data and measurements in the field.
  • Perform design calculations for hydraulic structures, including spillways, dam outlet works, diversion and check structures, measurement flumes, and other various raw water infrastructure.
Requirements
  • A Bachelor's Degree or higher in Civil Engineering (or related) from an ABET accredited program with an emphasis in Hydraulics, Hydrology, or Water Resources.
  • 0-3 years of related professional experience.
  • Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam/Engineer-in-Training (EIT) Certification, or ability to obtain EIT Certification within 6 months of hire.
  • Familiarity with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS software is a plus, but not required.
  • Must possess excellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills.
  • Positive attitude and self-motivation to grow professionally.
Preferred Skills
  • Familiarity with HEC-HMS, HEC-RAS, and GIS software.
