Job Overview

The ideal candidate will have a solid background in building relationships and a passion for delivering exceptional customer service. As a Staff Engineer, you will be responsible for providing technical support to employees, troubleshooting and resolving network and system issues, and maintaining client documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • System administration, troubleshooting, and projects in conjunction with the Atlanta-based NOC and support team
  • Relaying technical network knowledge to understand and troubleshoot incidents
  • Providing assistance concerning Remote Desktop Services, Fortinet, networking, and physical layer maintenance of telecom rooms
  • Providing exceptional customer service and technical expertise in deskside environments
  • Providing day-to-day technical support to employees for network infrastructure and internal desktop systems software and hardware
  • Determining root causes of incidents and documenting resolutions
  • Making recommendations and defining action plans
  • Maintaining client documentation
  • Maintaining security and privacy levels regarding customer data and corporate policies
  • Mentoring and providing guidance to peers by sharing best practice knowledge and lessons learned

Requirements

  • 2+ years currently working in a core technical area
  • 2-3+ years in an IT department
  • High School diploma required; College degree preferred
  • Certifications in Windows, Dell, HP, and Fortinet topologies is highly desired
  • Experience with the following technologies: Microsoft RDS, Microsoft Windows Client, basic networking topologies
