Quality Control Specialist

Job Responsibilities:
• Administer the plant change management process by intakeing and reviewing change requests, scheduling and facilitating change reviews with plant leadership and support personnel, and assigning and tracking follow-up actions.
• Drive improvements to change management processes, including the support of transitioning to utilizing Windchill system to administer changes.
• Provide administrative and hands-on support in managing discrepant material flow, evaluating and sorting quarantined components identified to be suspect.
• Provide project leadership or support in driving improvements to plant quality systems, intaking and processing product returns, and performing process and ISO 9001 internal audits.
Requirements:
• High School Diploma or GED
• Strong understanding of relational databases and Excel, efficiency and accuracy in data entry, and the ability to effectively facilitate meetings.
• Strong communication skills and a history of successfully interacting and communicating with others in a positive manner.
• Eagerness to learn and grow in the position, willingness to work overtime as needed, and a passion to drive and implement process improvements.
Nice to Have:
• Experience in manufacturing or inspection of precision optics, mechanics, or systems, ability to query data from Excel and relational databases, and experience with Windchill, ETQ, or other quality systems.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in similar position, with a stable job history being very important to Fairport HR.
Pay:
The pay range for this position is $20-23 per hour, with a general description of any health or compulsory benefits for compliance with Pay Transparency laws.
