Ranked #61 on Engineering News-Record's list of the Top 500 Design Firms, we are seeking a highly skilled Senior Architect to join our team in the Washington, DC area.

**Position Overview**

The Senior Architect will provide architecture assistance for design and construction projects, utilizing knowledge of design principles and practices to interpret, organize, coordinate, communicate, and execute. This role requires a strong understanding of design standards and criteria for construction projects, as well as experience with computer-assisted design software such as Revit and SketchUp.

**Key Responsibilities**

  • Provide professional architectural consultation in the planning, design, and coordination of large complex projects
  • Establish and maintain design standards and criteria for construction projects
  • Conduct on-site field survey measurements and verification
  • Prepare space and stacking plans
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects

**Requirements**

  • US Government Secret security clearance
  • Bachelor's degree in architecture
  • 10 years' experience as an Architect in commercial/government office building design and construction
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

**Preferred Qualifications**

  • US Government Top Secret security clearance
  • Architecture license
  • Experience working with governmental agencies at the federal, city, county, and state levels
  • 20 years' experience as an Architect in commercial/government office building design and construction

**Working Conditions**

The work environment is generally sedentary in nature, but may require occasional standing and walking. Lighting and temperature are adequate, and there are no hazardous or unpleasant conditions caused by noise, dust, etc.
